Find the number of zeros of the polynomial whose graph is given.
গ্ৰাফটো চাই বহুপদীৰ zero ৰ সংখ্যা কিমান উলিয়াওক।

Concept / সহজ বুজাব পৰা নিয়ম :

  • Graph যিমানবাৰ x-axis কাটে,
    সিমানটা zero থাকে।

সহজ ভাষাত:
x-axis য’ত য’ত গ্ৰাফে স্পৰ্শ বা কাটে → সেইবোৰেই zero।


Answer / উত্তৰ (General Rule):

  • If graph cuts x-axis once → 1 zero
  • If graph cuts x-axis twice → 2 zeros
  • If graph cuts x-axis three times → 3 zeros
  • If graph does not cut x-axis → No zero

State the number of zeros of the polynomial represented by the given graph.
দিয়া গ্ৰাফে কিমানটা zero দেখুৱাইছে লিখা।

Solution / সমাধান :

  • Count the number of intersection points with x-axis.

👉 Number of zeros = Number of x-axis intersections

Can a polynomial have no zero? Give example.
কোনো বহুপদীৰ zero নাথাকিব পাৰেনে? উদাহৰণ দিয়া।

Answer / উত্তৰ :

Yes, a polynomial can have no zero.

Example:
f(x) = x² + 1

This graph does not cut the x-axis.
So, it has no zero.

হয়, কিছুমান বহুপদীৰ zero নাথাকে।
যেনে x² + 1 ৰ গ্ৰাফে x-axis নকাটে।

How many zeros does a linear polynomial have?
এটা ৰৈখিক (Linear) বহুপদীৰ কিমানটা zero থাকে?

Answer / উত্তৰ :

A linear polynomial has only one zero.

Example:
y = x − 3 → zero = 3


🔹 Question 5

How many zeros does a quadratic polynomial have?
এটা দ্বিঘাত (Quadratic) বহুপদীৰ কিমানটা zero থাকে?

Answer / উত্তৰ :

A quadratic polynomial can have at most two zeros.

Example:
x² − 4 → zeros are 2 and −2
